Aftercare

Your Rocketman Parachute will more than likely encounter dirt from landing in wet and dirty fields or black powder residue. Intermittent cleaning may be desired. Often, the offending dirt can be wiped or hosed off, and the chute permitted to air dry. Sometimes, however, deeper cleaning may be necessary.

We recommend spot-cleaning as required with a damp, non-abrasive cloth, or hand-washing in cold water with a gentle detergent in a suitable location. Washing your parachute in a bucket or a bath tub works best to clean the dirt off using lukewarm water and mild soap. Sometimes the simplest way, is the best way. We do not recommend washing your Rocketman Parachute in a washing machine as the lines could possible tangle in the machine. To dry your parachute, we recommend hanging the parachute and being left to air dry on a close line. We usually use a small fan to help dry which speeds up the drying process. Throwing the parachute in a clothes dryer is not recommended as it could shrink the parachute cloth and permanently damage the parachute in the long run. If you have any questions about this process, feel free to contact us.

*We do recommend the chute to be air dried completely before storage. Throwing in the washing machine and clothes dryer is NOT recommended.
